University Professor Or Professional Comedian?

My intro to psych teacher is fairly amusing. She's either in the midst of a mid-life crisis or is a comedian on the side.

This is it. Today is the day. She's been waiting all her life for this chance, she's rehearsed her routine till she could do it in her sleep.
The expectant faces in the audience look out at her waiting for her to begin. She smiles nervously and taps the microphone to make sure that it's working.

The minutes fly by as she works through her routine, one perfectly timed line after another. The audience loves it. Roaring with laughter the crowd eggs her on.
She smiles and tries to regain control over her new fans. The crowd finally settles down and the silence returns. The people in the audience are on the edge of their seats, eagerly leaning forward awaiting the rest of her act.

She lands another great joke and the crowd goes wild. She hears someone snorting with laughter and breaks into a wide smile.

Her students sit in an uncomfortable silence watching her in a mixture of bewilderment and amusement as she stands at the front of the room snorting into the microphone at a joke that she had made about her slideshow.

In the distance she hears someone cough and people shifting in their seats. She looks up from her microphone into the faces of her confused students, clears her throat and continues with her lecture.
